Who I am
My name is Colbi Carlson, I am 22 years old born and raised in Minnesota. With a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Graphic Design I am full of many passions. I have always had a blooming love for art. My specialties are Design, Photography, and Choreography. Thank you for coming to my page to check out my work, I hope you enjoy what you see.
Education
Marketing & Graphic Design
I have been actively involved with social media for as long as I can remember. From watching YouTube videos as a kid, to posting as a grew up, to now having social media jobs. When I started college, I wanted to major in Marketing. I was hoping to be able to grow my knowledge and career, specifically in the Social Media side of Marketing. When researching colleges, I soon found out that the University of Minnesota Duluth offers a degree in Marketing and Graphic Design. My decision on where to go to school was pretty easy from there because that is the perfect degree for me! I want to continue working in Social Media Marketing as well as utilizing my Graphic Design skills.
Photography & Dance
Outside of school I am always on the go. Weather that is spending time with friends and family, traveling, dancing, or taking pictures! Photography and Dance are my passions. I am lucky enough to say that two of the things I love most are now my jobs. Do I get tired? Yes, but never tired of it because I’ve dreamt of this my whole life.
I’ve dreamt of being a choreographer ever since little three year old me walked into a dance studio for the first time. Photography on the other hand, has not always been a dream of mine. I wanted to buy myself something special when I graduated, so I thought “why not a camera?” So I bought my first camera, and never looked back. I love the process of taking special photos of people, editing them, and seeing how happy it makes them to have these memories beautifully documented.
